Global CDH Impact on CDH Community

As of September of 2009 our programs  have assisted eleven families since May of 2008.  In 2009, we have provided our service to eight families located throughout the United States, up from three in 2008. (see map)

Our personalized programs aim to optimize the experience the families are experiencing, considering the stressful circumstances.  As such Global CDH has assisted one family in particular by providing a mother which travelled from the Republic of Yemen, located on the Arabian Peninsula in Southwest Asia, to deliver her baby with a right congenital diaphragmatic hernia (RCDH) in NYC.  We provided the mother with a Baby Arrival Kit with an unlimited month-long New York City Transportation Metro Card to travel and see her son in the NICU of Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital Colombia in Manhattan, NYC.

"Thanks again for all your help with the Nasser Family! Thank you so much for providing transportation support in this difficult time and with your translation of Global CDH information into Arabic. Thanks for everything!"
- Neonatal ICU Social Worker, Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital of NY-Presbyterian

"The package was absolutely wonderful! I don’t even know how to thank you for this. It will be so helpful, not only to help cover cost but to save time. We don’t really have time to run to Target or somewhere to pick this stuff up. Thank you so much for this it is a big help."
 - Sara, Project NICU recipient in Illinois

"I wanted to thank you for the nice pair of pins and bracelets and the $50 gift card you sent to our family. I cried when I opened the package. Your kindness means a lot..."
- Ashley, Project IC recipient in Kentucky
